Adventist History: Revisiting the Life of Hubert Leonard Tolhurst

This week in Adventist history, Hubert Leonard Tolhurst, a teacher, pastor, administrator, missionary, and poet, sets sail for Tonga.

Born in Sydney in 1890, Hubert was 14 years old when his mother learned about the Sabbath. He and his family were baptized after, and soon, he became an active leader in the Parkes Church Young People’s Missionary Society.
