This week in Adventist history, we look into the life of Professor Harold Gottlieb Miller, a skilled composer and musician known for his contributions to Adventist hymnody.

Harold earned the degrees of Bachelor of Music and Master of Music and began his teaching career at Mount Vernon Academy, where he met his wife, Grace Virginia Purdham.

He composed over 200 hymns and songs, including ten in The Church Hymnal (1941) and seven in Gospel Melodies and Evangelistic Hymns (1944).
